Edvarda Braanaas from Norway is not the only nordic artist exhibiting at Maddox Arts right now. Finnish photographer Heli Rekula (born 1963, Helsinki) is also participating with two works in the group exhibition ‘Viva Lolita’. The exhibition, curated by James Putnam, will be showing at Maddox Arts until April 25th. The opening hours are Tuesday-Friday 11am-7pm, Saturday by appointment.
Rekula has studied photography at the Lahti Institute of Art and Design, and she has MA- and Postgraduate Studies from the Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki. Her works are found in many public collections, and she has had solo exhibitions in France, the Netherlands, Italy and in the Nordic countries.
